HFC4 Results

If you were not in Indiana watching the local fights or at Excalibur in Chicago last Friday, you missed out on great MMA matchups.  We were over at the Gary Railcats Steelyard Stadium attending the Hoosier Fight Club 4: Showdown at the Steelyard event, and it was amazing.  From what we heard at the event, their next scheduled event will be on October 1, at the Star Plaza Theater in Merrilville, Indiana.

Double Feature Friday Night Fights

Chicago is your place tonight for anything sports related!  You have the Blackhawk’s parade running throughout downtown Chicago.  Way to bring the cup back home!  Then you have the home town rivalry happening at Wrigley Field when the Cubs face the White Sox.  If you think that’s all you have to do today, you still have to get you MMA fix.

Interview with Joe Voitik with his fight against Carson Beebe

If you're a local MMA fan, then you have to know about people like Clay Guida, Miguel Torres, and even Chase Beebe.  If you're a local MMAniac, then you also know that Chase's brother Carson Beebe is fighting Joe "Jitsu" Voitik tonight at the Copernicus Center in the XFO 35 event.  From my assumption alone, I think people will be rooting for Beebe since he's blood related to the WEC bantamweight belt holder.  However, I wouldn't count Joe out just yet.  I had the chance to talk to him before his fight and he has come a long way.  He's been fighting in and out of state looking for the best competitors out there trying to get a name for himself.  He even took it to Puerto Rico to fight Discovey Channel's host Doug Anderson from Fight Quest.  Check our blog to see what Voitik is bringing to the table this time for his fight against Carson Beebe.

Naperville Fight Night

I'm here sitting cage side waiting for the fights to start.  FIghts are scheduled to start around 7:30 so it gives me some time to set up here.  We are going to have video up on the site about 48 hours after the event, but for those of you who can not wait that long, I will be blasting round after round in text as fast as I can.  Also, check out www.cutthroatmma.com for a live feed cage side.  Now you have no excuse why you didn't see or hear of the fights.  If you can't make it out tonight, you will be missing out on 14 great fights.  However, Chi-town MMAniacs will be keeping you in the loop.  Be sure to hit refresh every so often so you can read up on my lastest blasts.

I just got word that American Predator Fighting Championship just added a third heavyweight bout along with two other fights. Josh Estrada and Vince Nicoline will be the third heavyweight fight added to an already stacked card. Also added to the card is Jon Samp vs Rey Garza and Louie Boulhanis vs David Serinski.  Don't forget to pick-up your tickets on our website in our Shop Online Section.

Interview with Greg Reddington for fight against Mike Welch

Two proficient wrestlers, one with a record of 14 and 2 and the other with a record of 10 and 1, previous face-offs, and a little bit of “bad blood”.  These are a couple aspects that make the main event in Cut Throat MMA’s Lockdown in Lowell so highly anticipated.  With the fights happening on the 16^th of April, I was actually able to talk with Greg Reddinton in his last week of preparation for this fight.  Check out the blog to see what Greg has in store for Mike Welch as well as what he has done to be at his best to challenge the best.  Also, look in our events for the Lockdown in Lowell event to get your last minute tickets.  This is the fight everyone attending will be talking about.

American Predator Fighting Championship

American Predator Fighting Championship is bringing it big on 
Saturday April 24th by choosing a heavyweight fight as the main event. 
Gabe Salinas and Tim Duggan are headlining this event. Both fighters 
in the main event are considered amateurs but are certainly not new to
the cage. Gabe Salinas boasts an impressive 12-0 record while Tim Duggan 
has yet to be defeated with a 3-0 record.

 Frankie Edgar beats BJ Penn for the Lightweight Championship. I know it’s not local Chicago MMA, but let me start my spin. So after watching Matt Hughes leg kick Renzo Gracie into a walking gumby (no disrespect, I would have folded by the first kick) and waiting for GSP to walk into the ring and tell Anderson Silva that he is not impressed by his performance (favorite MMA moment), I couldn’t help but think about Frankie Edgar from Jersey.

MMA True Fitness

True Fitness is the basis of the statement “No pain, no gain”.  To give a quick summary of the gym itself, it looks like a “Rocky” gym on steroids.  It has numerous tires that vary in size, climbing ropes, pull up bars, cinder blocks, a punching bag, and even the owner’s truck for your pushing and pulling needs.  It doesn’t sound like your “average” gym.  In fact, the place does not even have a treadmill.  However, you will get the hardest workout of your life with these guys.  This gym is not for the feint of heart; you need to be mentally prepared before you start a workout with them.  If you think you have what it takes, check out their website at www.mmatruefitness.com.

Team Warrior Concepts in Springfield

Team Warrior Concepts is putting has been putting together can’t miss events for over 12 years now. Saturday April 3^rd TWC will be bringing Mixed Martial Arts action to the Illinois Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. 

Gettin' Ruthless

The only place to be this weekend is at the Sundance Saloon in Waukegan .  Fight Card Entertainment is putting on another shoot-out event that is sure to please any MMAniac.

So many of the Chicagoland area’s best are starting their careers with FCE and it's great to watch them improve with each event.  This Saturday FCE put together another fantastic event featuring some very exciting fighters. Their main event features Pedro Velasco vs Dimitrius Williams.  Both very dynamic fighters who are prepared to bring their best performance to the cage.
